I am a recent graduate with an Diploma in Network Administration. I have been looking for a few months now for entry level positions but have come up unsuccessful. I do not have much experience in Networking. But have the schooling.I plan on obtaining my A+ and Network+ certifications within the coming months. Does any one have any suggestions that they can offer that would help in entering the IT field?

I hate to break the news to you, but a Diploma in IT, No experience, and no certifications will get you a job a McDonalds.

I have a Two year degree in Network Engineering, A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, CCNP, Microsoft 70-290, and experience over last summer doing IT contracting work and I was barely able to land a full time job entry level job. For that reason I'm continuing to a 4 year degree and expanding my certifications while I work.

It's a 2 out of 3 deal. There are three things, Experience, Education (Degree), and Certifications. You have to have two out of three of those. Experience is most important. If you have 10 years experience as an Network Admin you can get a job mostly anywhere.

I would recommend getting the highest paying job wherever you can, IT field or not. And continuing your education to get at least a 2 year degree. While you do that you can pickup certifications along the way, and possibly look out for part time contract jobs to build your resume.
